Single Tangerine with Leaf

Oil on 1/4" Board. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

I think I'm going to get back into some daily paintings. Not only are they great practice but they are what I want to paint...not what anyone else wants. I think that is important as an artist. I need to get my visions in my head, out onto board.

Amazing. I just wrote that in my post. I am not anywhere in your league, but I decided to give up my recent ideas of selling my work because it was crippling my enthusiasm. I had a job, i didn't want another one. So I tore loose on a charcoal and painted it to death and broke free yesterday.

I love your work. I also love that it doesn't take a day to do. Sketching a painting a day is great practice, but does't yield the same high calibre I see in your posts. But fun is necessary to productivity. Have some.

Michael, I've been following your work for some years now and I've seen the progression in your work even in just that limited time. You are certainly not "selling out" by painting the objects or phone poles or whatever you find captivating at the moment. Please follow your heart, and if its the leaf your daughter hands you, please paint it! Your art is fabulous!
