Another new still life item. This looked medieval to me. Also, for whatever reason, when you touch this creamer your skin picks up some sort of funk on it. The silver doesn't have an odor by its self but if you touch it your hand will smell. Weird.

you have the ability to give your inanimate subjects a personality of their own. this creamer stands proud, tall, and stately. great work.
Your creamer probably still has some silver polish residue, I wash my silver in soap and water after cleaning. Love the painting.

Hey Michael, thanks for the compliment especially form such a good artist as yourself. You've got a really appealing mix of Niel Hollingsworth and Karen Jurick in you still life work. It is especially interesting to see how much your work has improved over the time of this blog.

Nice work! May I ask what colors you are using on your palette to create your "silver"? I tend to often use Prussian blue, raw umber and titanium white. I like the tone of yours.

I'd love to comment on all your past work but due to time constraints I just have to start at the most recent ones on up.
At first glance, this looked like a portrait piece....if that makes sense. Like the creamer just posed for the camera.
Nice composition and super strong execution!
Love the muted gray-green background. The silver looks like, well, real silver. Great job with that.
And lastly, you cleverly snuck some warm tones on the back end of the creamer itself. It all just pops.
Really nice job on this one.
